Note: Many of the terms and names used in this summary are not actually used by the population of Dreamworld, since they don't speak English. This includes the word "Dreamworld" itself. Its inhabitants would just call it "the universe".
Álàntúr [species]
A race of intelligent sea snakes. They live in underwater city-states on the Ocean World (see there).
Not to be confused with the religious figures from Fyrian mythology (see: Álàntúr (mythology)), who lent them their humanly pronouncable name.
Illustrations: http://fyrius.deviantart.com/art/Alantur-41244061, http://fyrius.deviantart.com/art/Alantur-Face-41244327
Álàntúr (mythology) [religious figure]
Like their namesakes on the Ocean World (see: Álàntúr), the mythological Álàntúr are giant sea snakes with mystical abilities, born from the infinite ocean that Fyrians believed the universe to be. They are believed to have created the world as a giant orb-shaped structure floating in the ocean (the bulk of it lying below the surface), to function as a lair and an environment for experiments, and to have created all life and set it free on the dry part of the surface.
Alanturians [people]
One of the peoples of Fyria (see there), living by the principles of Alanturism (see there).
Alanturism [religion]
A Fyrian religion that values justice and discipline above all else.
Aranism [religion]
An originally Fyrian religion that has become widespread in a slightly different form, as believed by the majority of Nasfanians (see there). Its main tenet is that the universe is a grand whole and that all subdivisions in that whole are an illusion.
(see also: Nasfanian Aranism / Fyrian Aranism)
Artefact, The [one-of-a-kind construct]
Of all the curiosities of Dreamworld, this huge structure is easily the most mysterious. It is an incomprehensible complex, too geometrically regular to be a natural phenomenon, and nobody knows its purpose or its origin. It's about as old as Dreamworld itself, it is larger than your average solar system and it even seems to extend outside this universe along a fourth spatial dimension.
The existence of the Artefact is almost completely unknown to the peoples of Dreamworld. It seems the Spirits (see there) have an interest in keeping it that way.
It is located between the spherical domains of the fifth and sixth rings, but lightyears away from the trajectory of either.
Astraduct [structure]
A Tsaära:en transportation project invented during the Colonial Era. An Astraduct is a long tube that stretches from the boundaries of one system to those of a neighbouring one. Within an Astraduct, the laws of physics - and specifically time - behave in such a way that it enables normal spacecraft with sub-light top speeds to cross lightyears in a matter of days (shiptime as well as real time).
Astraducts were constructed in the shape of large rings; after being put into the right position and "fixed in place" (with advanced rune technologies), replicatory rune patterns would be activated and the ring would replicate itself in the intended direction until it reached a fixed distance, thus forming a great interstellar tube.
A common design consists of a central tube for flying traffic with four outer tunnels for trains.

Avatar [device]
Alternate term for Incarnation (see there).
Circular [terminology]
Of or related to astronomical rings (see: Ring).
(see also: Intercircular)
Colonial Era [period]
(see: Tsaära:ennic Colonial Era)
Colossus [planet]
Colossus is an immense gas giant, easily the largest planet in Dreamworld. It is the only planet known to be occasionally visible with the naked eye from its neighbouring solar systems.
Certain altitudes in the skies of Colossus are occupied by drifting rocks, populated by complete ecosystems with many life forms. The most notable such places are Pearl Height (see there) and the homeworld of the Kriy (see there).
It is one of the earlier colonies of the Interstellar Tsaära:ennic Realm (see there). The jewel in the royal crown representing this planet was made out of the floating Pearlstone (see there).
(External history: In a previous version, Colossus comprised the center of a "planetary system", fulfilling the central position that a star would otherwise occupy, and was actually orbitted by stars rather than the other way around. With the introduction of the ring-based world view, this was no longer feasible, and the planet had to be downsized to more realistic - though still satisfyingly superlative - proportions.)
Dark Tsaära:en [species]
(see: Kcháràng)
EAS [device class]
Common abbreviation of "Environmental Adaptation System" (see there).
Environmental Adaptation System [device class]
A collective term for various devices that allow beings to live in places that are otherwise not inhabitable to them; for example, there exist EASes to let aquatic beings live in dry land cities, and there exist EASes to allow dry land being to live in underwater cities.
This human invention has greatly facilitated contact between different species.
Technically this definition includes Incarnations (see there), but those are not usually referred to by this term.
First Realm [nation]
A fallen Fyrian nation once inhabited by all the people on the planet at that time. A religious disagreement split it up into the Alanturians (see there) and the Lakorians (see there).
The First Realm is generally believed to be the first human unison that can be classified as a nation.
Fivefold Council [political organisation]
The highest political authority of Naste Fan (see there). It is a planetary council containing one representative from each of Nasfan's five provinces.
Floating City [structure]
(see: Surface Facility)
Fyria [planet]
The original human homeworld. It is one of the earliest colonies of the Interstellar Tsaära:ennic Realm (see there). It is located in the seventh ring.
Fyrian Aranism [religion]
A monist way of life from the First Realm (see there) on Fyria (see there).
Its central tenet is that individual objects do not exist; rather, there is only one grand unity of existence that incorporates everything there is (called Árán).
As a way of life, it is based on four central principles: inner peace, empathy, wisdom and compliance to moral obligation.
(see also: Nasfanian Aranism)
Garden of Bedas [planet]
A small planet in the fifth ring, formerly the personal retreat of the Tsaära:en king Bedas.
In the early days of the Tsaära:ennic Colonial Era, explorers stumbled upon a small planet with life in an early, mainly single-cell stage of evolution, floating in the middle of a nebula relatively far away from all the other colonies. The king decided to make this planet his personal retreat. He had it terraformed to support Tsaära:en life, and had a great palace built in the middle of a grand forest of the planet's signature semi-translucent trees. The small planet became known as "the Garden of Bedas".
Now, centuries later, the planet is deserted, returned to its indigenous life forms. While it remains one of the most beautiful places in all of the Interstellar Tsaära:ennic Realm, few travellers have the resources and the patience to travel to such a remote place. However, those that do all agree that its enchanting landscapes and peaceful scenery still make the long journey more than rewarding.

Golems [species]
Golems are war machines from the neighbouring universe from which Lightlings (see there) originate, and form the only material 'life form' in that universe. They are also the main reason why the Lightlings left their homeworld. They could be considered the natural enemies of Lightlings, if there were anything natural about them.
They feed on the background energy that pervades their universe and reproduce using Lightling energy, which they absorb and convert into the material body of their offspring. The light core of the Lightling is preserved and altered to form the mind of the new Golem.
At some point in Lightling history, they were created by an insane Lightling mage, and have been the greatest threat to them since then. Eventually, Lightlings have discovered this universe and evacuated to it, since the Golems do not have any means to exit their universe.
Illustration: http://fyrius.deviantart.com/art/Golem-41243531
Incarnation [device]
An artificial body to be inhabited by a Spirit (see there), usually modelled after a human, a Tsaära:en or another existing material species. A human invention, Incarnations are among the main export products of Naste Fan (see there).
As Incarnations enable Spirits to interact more naturally with other species, they are mainly used by government officials for matters of diplomacy or public relationships in general, but some are also in use by individual Spirits who want to blend into foreign society.
There are strict regulations as to the capacities and abilities of incarnations; most of them see to it that the incarnations have the same characteristics as the species they're modelled after. As incarnations are a commodity sold freely to any Spirits interested in them, they cannot be allowed to have hidden weapons, extraordinary strength or anything else that would give them a great advantage over common people in combat.
(see also: Spirits)
Intercircular [terminology]
Across or involving multiple astronomical rings (see: Ring).
(see also: Circular)
Interstellar Tsaära:ennic Realm [nation]
The grand monarchy consisting of Sírfáëndze (see there) and all of its colonies.
ITR [nation]
Common abbreviation of "Interstellar Tsaära:ennic Realm" (see there).
Kcha [species]
Informal abbreviation of Kcháràng (see there).
Kcháràng [species]
An intelligent species living on the Tsaära:en homeworld Sirfaëndze, closely related to the Tsaära:en. Also known as Kcha or Dark Tsaära:en.
At some point in Tsaära:en history, a movement formed that dismissed the parts of the Tsa religion saying that the dark hemisphere was inherently evil. For this, they were banished from Tsaära:en society, and they retreated to a place near the border between the lit and the dark hemisphere known as the Plains of Twilight, or the Borderlands. Subsequently the movement was greatly mocked and demonized by the Tsa, to such an extend that nowadays it has an image of immorality, corruption and blasphemy. And, in order to keep anyone away from them, the Kcháràng actively added to this reputation until no one would ever come near the Borderlands without a very good reason. But in fact they are neither very dangerous nor without ethics; they just like to be left alone.
By means of powerful rune technology they drastically altered their appearance in a permanent way, making them and the Tsa completely different creatures. To see in the darkness of the Borderlands the pupils of their eyes became large enough to make the white of their eyes invisible, and their tails became shorter so that they could make quick moves easily. Also, to support their reputation as dangerous and evil creatures, they grew long talons and a longer and more angular head, making their voices lower and their speech sounds different from those of the Tsa. Eventually they came to pronounce the name of their species as 'Kcháràng'.
Culturally, the Kcháràng are a harsh religious sect that values relentless discipline and devout meditation, to contrast with the luxurious life style of the Tsaära:en. They are specialists in stealth and in covert operations, as the darkness is their primary weapon against Tsaära:en crusaders and others who might invade their territory.
Illustration: http://fyrius.deviantart.com/art/Kcharang-41242754
Kriy [species]
Kriy are sentient, somewhat birdlike beings, living in the skies of Colossus (see there).
The skeleton of a Kriy is an internal one-piece shell-like construction of a practically weightless substance, related to pearlstone (see there). They have a roughly oval torso, with on one end an elephantlike trunk with a parrotlike beak on the end, sided by two independently movable eyes on stalks. Above the base of the trunk originate three long and very sensitive and intricate "tentacles", which they can use to hold objects or to strike adversaries with whiplike lashes. Behind the tentacles are three "nostrils", each of them connected to a separate pair of lungs and a separate pair of vocal cords. They communicate in threefold melodies produced by these.
They have a pair rather long and very flexible wings, which they fold up when they don't use them, and two bow-shaped legs that work like a leg prosthesis, with flexible cartilage instead of joints.
Lakorians [people]
One of the peoples of Fyria (see there), living by the principles of Lakorism (see there).
Lakorism [religion]
A Fyrian religion that values inner peace and empathy above all else.
Lakorism is based on the central belief that the world is violent and cruel by nature, and that it is the duty of mankind to break free from this vicious cycle. In practice, this means Lakorists are a strict pacifists. Killing is only allowed for food, for the protection of the weak and by exception for own safety, and it must be done as painless as possible (for it is suffering, not death, that must be avoided at all times). To a true Lakorist there is no such thing as anger, hatred or revenge. Scholars call Lakorism "the religion of peace".
Lightling [species]
Lightlings are intelligent creatures of pure energy. They consist of a colourful membrane and a core of light, and are slightly transparent. They are refugees from a neighbouring universe that contains no physical matter, but live in a remote asteroid field staying away from the indigenous people of this universe.
They appear in two forms, a juvenile and an adult form. Juvenile Lightlings somewhat resemble manta rays in form, and appear in many bright colours. These juveniles are the base of the species. They multiply by asexual division (like amoebas do), after which both new juveniles need approximately ten years to grow to their common size again. Then they either multiply again or combine to form a mature Lightling.
Mature Lightlings posses a little understood power to alter reality in certain ways, and commonly live for 200 to 300 years, after which they split up into the juvenile Lightlings that formed them. After splitting up, the juveniles will need another ten years before they can combine again. The average juvenile can go through this three times before dying definitively. The mature form can also combine with other mature forms to form larger and even more powerful mature Lightlings; this can be done indefinitely.
Feeding on any available source of energy and not consisting of matter, and therefore not bothered by gravity or (lack of) air pressure, they can travel freely through space at light speed without equipment. The mature even have a natural ability to bend space-time, enabling them to perform hyperspace leaps.
Both forms of Lightlings commonly communicate by emitting light of certain frequencies; in other words, by chaging the colour of their core. They see and hear spectral, ultraviolet or infrared light and sound and any other type of wave pattern by feeling the resonance of their membranes. Mature Lightlings can also use their abilities to simulate articulated speech or radio waves, enabling them to cummunicate with other life forms and spacecraft.

Meritocrats (species)
(This is a temporary working name.)
The inhabitants of an until recently rather self-contained planet in the seventh ring, whose dominant culture is based on the idea that personal rights are proportional to competence.
Since primitive times, this world has had one civilisation where being below certain threshold levels of intelligence, imagination, strength, health and other such things was considered a reason to be expelled. Through this relentless but rather effective selection method, it soon became the most advanced civilisation on that world, which had the effect that besides the "unworthy" being sent away, ambitious and intelligent people from elsewhere flocked to the meritocrat civilisation as well, further amplifying the uneven distribution of intelligence over the surface of the planet.
Eventually, mainly for a lack of natural resources, their realm started expanding; adjacent areas were easily conquered by their superior equipment and more cunning strategic planning, even if the local inhabitants resisted furiously. And wherever the meritocrats established their rule, the people deemed too incompetent were told to beat it. Through this continued expansion, the entire planet eventually ended up under their rule, and running out of places they didn't care about where the incompetent people could go, they resorted to genocide instead.
When later they discovered how their equivalent of DNA works and mapped their own genome, they started eugenic programs where at first they deliberately selected the best reproductive cells, preventing the existence of the unworthy altogether, and later added genetic modification to optimize the next generation even further.
The Tsaära:en (see there) came across this world rather late in their Colonial Era (see: Tsaära:ennic Colonial Era). The Tsaära:en King judged the meritocrats' ways to be wicked, decided they should conquer their planet and install their own world order (as they had done for multiple other worlds already), and thus declared war. Despite being less advanced than the much older Tsaära:en and not having many spacebrone assets, the meritocrats resisted their invaders remarkably effectively, and continue to do so to this day.
Nasfan [planet]
Informal abbreviation of Naste Fan (see there).
Nasfanian Aranism [religion]
The main religion of Naste Fan (see there), deriving from Fyrian Aranism (see there).
Nasfanian Aranism is both a monist and a dualist religion at the same time. According to it, there is one God named Däron and one Godess named Münin, and the unification of these two brought about the universe. These Gods are considered the Father and Mother of the universe, and of all life.
Being born from a unification of two creators, the universe consists entirely of two elements that are inseparably intertwined. These elements are Antär, the extension of Däron, and Sïlin, the extension of Münin.
The central tenets of Nasfanian Aranism as a life style are achieving inner balance between the two forces, and being faithful to four Great Virtues. The Great Virtues of Däron are wisdom and honesty, and the Great Virtues of Münin are inner peace and compassion.
Nasfanians [species]
The human people of the planet Naste Fan (see there).
The Nasfanians are former human slaves that the Tsaära:en abducted from Fyria (see there) in their Colonial Era. They were eventually freed and given a terraformed colony to make into their new home. For many generations they have worked hard to catch up with the Tsaära:en in technology and political prominence, and currently they could well be considered the known universe's second most influential species (the Tsaära:en still being the first).
Nasfanians have a reputation of being disciplined, pragmatic, ambitious, inventive, and very hard workers.
Naste Fan (Nästê Fan) [planet]
The first industrial human planet. It is the colony the humans were given by the Tsaära:en after they officially freed their human slaves at the end of their Colonial Era. It is a small but dense planet with somewhat high gravity, with most of its surface covered by one ocean. It is divided into five districts; four island-shaped continents and one underwater plateau with surface facilities (see there) built on it.
Naste Fan is a relatively technologically advanced industrial world. Its main export commodities include Incarnations (see there) and Environmental Adaptation Systems (see there).
The planet's present name derives from the Tsaära:en phrase "Naërastë Feänn", meaning "Last Colony".
It is located in the seventh ring.
Ocean World [planet]
A tiny but very dense planet with a huge ocean easily covering it entirely, or in other words, a huge cloud of water held together by a small solid core.
It is located in the seventh ring.
Pearl Height [place]
A former Tsaära:en colony, located in the skies of Colossus (see there).
This portion of Colossus' sky is scattered with large floating rocks of pearlstone (see there). The Tsaära:en processed most of these stones to use the gleaming material for jewelry and the construction of their spaceships. They found it to be most efficient to cut the upper halves off the pearlstones and build mining colonies to excavate the rest of them on the newly made surfaces, as the atmosphere of the Colossus is life-supporting and the temperature very similar to that on the Tsaära:en home world
Nowadays, most of the precious material already being mined away, living there is no longer considered profitable, and the colony is now uninhabited. The place is still littered with abandoned Tsaära:en buildings.
Illustrations: http://fyrius.deviantart.com/art/Pearl-Height-41241706, http://fyrius.deviantart.com/art/Pearl-Height-White-Mesa-41242006
Pearlstone [material]
Pearlstone is an ivory-like material that gleams in a pearly white colour, and show slight transparency and prismatic colour patterns if cut into thin shards, giving it the name 'pearlstone'. It is found exclusively at Pearl Height (see there).
Pearlstone is completely unaffected by any degree of gravity, and can be rendered practically immovable ("locked in place", so to speak) by a jolt of electricity of the right power and duration. It was the most common fabric for both jewellery and spacecraft in the Tsaära:ennic Colonial Era. Nowadays it is a rare precious material.
Quintuple Council [political organisation]
Alternate translation of Fivefold Council (see there).
Ring [astronomical unit]
The location of a solar system in Dreamworld is denotated by which ring it is in, and by its position in that ring.
Dreamworld does not consist of galaxies like our universe. Instead, all solar systems "orbit" one central point (usually referred to as the "core"), and do so in a (possibly infinite) number of evenly spaced, concentric "rings". While this point is the central axis of each ring, not all rings revolve on the same plane; the axis of each ring is tilted in comparison to all the others', and continues tilting at an imperceptibly slow speed.
All solar systems within a ring have stars of a similar type and size; the stars in the rings nearest to the core are the largest and the most intense, and from there the stars become smaller and colder with each ring. Also, the inmost rings contain the least systems and every ring from there on contains more.
Some astronomists speculate that all systems might originate from the core and then expand as their suns shrink and cool down, although there is still no definite answer as to how this would be possible.
For navigational purposes, all rings have been given a number. The Tsaära:en counting system, being devised before it was known how many rings there were from their ring to the central point, counts the Tsaära:en home ring as number zero, and count the ones next to it on its inside and outside as respectively the "first internal ring" and the "first external ring", and so on. The Nasfanians, who didn't even exist in their present form until the Tsa already had an intricate understanding of their universe, introduced an alternative system that counts the inmost one as the "first ring" and continue from there.
Rune Lore [science/tradition]
(see: Sun Crystals, Sun Runes)
Runes [technology]
(see: Sun Runes)
Sirfaëndze [planet]
The home planet of the Tsaära:en and Kcháràng.
This planet orbits its sun and revolves around its own axis in such a way that half of the planet is always lit and the other half never is. Because of this, half of the planet is a warm world of light, filled with abundant life, and the other half is a dark and frozen wasteland.
It is located in the sixth ring.
Sophobiont [life form]
A single-cell organism that is used (in large amounts) to store information in, invented by the species that created the Spirits (see there). The Wandering Library (see there), the ancient database in which the Spirits were first encountered by the modern world, makes extensive use of this medium.
Spirits [species]
The Spirits are a race of non-organic life forms, consisting entirely of information.
Not much is known about their origin, and they make no effort to clarify it. For ages they have been preserved and isolated in an ancient archive-vessel (now referred to as "the Wandering Library" (see there)), to eventually be discovered by Nasfanian explorers and introduced into modern society.
Spirits are exceptionally talented in complex calculations and advanced mathematics, and their introduction has amplified the development of the exact branches of science. Their services also have many practical applications; for example, they can man an installation without any life support, just by being uploaded into its system.
(see also: Incarnation)
Sun Crystals [material]
An enigmatic mineral found in the soil of Sirfaëndze, this substance affects anything it touches in a complex variety of ways. The Tsaära:en harness its seemingly limitless potential by "drawing" on the surface of various things with this crystal in meticulously determined patterns. The science concerned with finding out what patterns have what effects is called Rune Lore. The Tsaära:en make extensive use of it for all sorts of applications.
Upon discovery of this phenomenon, the Tsaära:en came to believe that the crystals were given by their sun (the central deity of their religion), and named them after it.
(see also: Sun Runes)
Sun Runes [lore]
The Tsaära:en's lore on the application of Sun Crystals (see there).
The Tsaära:en have developed an extensive lore of possible patterns of Sun Crystal "drawings" and their outcomes, simplifying the possible patterns to a limited collection of marks that can be combined to achieve specific outcomes. These simplified marks are known as Sun Runes.
Surface Facility [structure]
A type of city, positioned at specific places on the surface of Naste Fan's oceans.
Before long, the space on Nasfan's dry land and the resources accessible from there started to run out. At this point, pioneers started building mining colonies at the most shallow points in the ocean, supported by strong pillars that reach deep into the ocean floor.
Many inhabitants of the dry land moved to these mining colonies to work, and with the lack of space on the land, the colonies eventually developed into blooming cities. These cities are formally called "surface facilities", and less formally "floating cities".
Illustration: http://fyrius.deviantart.com/art/Nasfanian-Surface-Facility-47715558
Swarmfighter [function / spacecraft]
"Swarmfighter" is a term used for a pilot that flies in a squadron of small fighter spacecraft, or "swarm", to escort and protect a larger ship.
The term can also refer to the spacecraft such a pilot flies in. These are usually light, single-pilot fighter ships. The spacecraft are traditionally stored in the hangar bay of the ship until it is attacked or expected to be attacked, and their pilots live with the ship's crew.
Illustration of one particular Swarmfighter: http://fyrius.deviantart.com/art/Swarmfighter-41765834
Tsa [species]
Informal abbreviation of Tsaära:en (see there).
Tsaära:en [species]
The Tsaära:en are a race of somewhat dinosaur-like beings, with a head crest like that of a Parasaurolophus and a lizardlike tail. They have six limbs, each with three joints and symmetrical hands at their extremities.
As one of the oldest civilized species in known space, the Tsaära:en are the culturally and politically dominant species in this part of the universe, and theirs is among its most advanced and influentual civilizations.
They live on the lit half of Sirfaëndze (see there). Their planet's division into a lit hemisphere and a dark hemisphere has made the Tsa realize the importance of their sun, and therefore light and darkness are important factors in their culture and religion.
Tsaära:en are stereotyped as elegant and stylish, but also a bit arrogant and closed-minded.
Illustration: http://fyrius.deviantart.com/art/Tsaara-en-41242512
Tsaära:ennic Colonial Era [period]
The age of imperial expansion by the Tsaära:en (see there). It is defined as the time between the moment the Tsaära:en first started to explore solar systems outside their own, and the moment they freed their human slaves (see: Nasfanians) and granted them the terraformed planet now known as Naste Fan (see there).
Unison of Beings [political organisation]
An intercircular political organization, containing one representative of every sentient species in known space.
Wandering Library, the [one-of-a-kind construct]
The ancient construction in which the Spirits (see there) were first encountered. It is an enormous spacecraft in all aspects except that it was not made for material passengers; it only serves to store and transport information.
It is still home to most Spirits, except those who have chosen to live among the physical species of Dreamworld.

Technology:
Space travel:
The Tsa were the first species in known space to have achieved space travel. Like most Tsaära:en inventions, these space craft relied heavily on runelore. The first craft were only suitable to reach orbit; later, more advanced craft (unmanned and later manned) made it to neighbouring planets.
For interstellar travel, the Tsa relied on a different runelore-based invention; the Astraduct. This was a long tube that stretched from the boundaries of the home system to those of a neighbouring one. Within an Astraduct, the laws of physics are somewhat different; it enabled normal spacecraft with sub-light top speeds to cross lightyears in a matter of days (shiptime as well as real time).
Astraducts were constructed in the shape of large rings; after being put into the right position and "fixed in place" (with other advanced rune technologies), replicatory rune patterns would be activated and the ring would replicate itself in the intended direction until it reached a fixed distance, thus forming a great interstellar tube.
Miscellaneous inventions and technologies:
- Astraduct
Long-distance transportation contraption. Tsaära:en invention. See above.
- Decoy field
Spacecraft protection system. Tsaära:en invention. Colloquially known as "sparkle cloud". This is a countermeasure to the lightning cannon (see there). A piece of on-board equipment generates a cloud of sparks around the ship that confuse the lock-on system of the cannon, rendering it useless.
A side effect is that it works in both directions; it also renders useless the lightning cannons on board of the ship it protects.
- EAS (Environmental Adaptation System)
Vehicle. Human invention. A collective term for various devices that allow beings to live in places that are otherwise not inhabitable to them; for example, there exist EASes to let aquatic beings live in dry land cities, and there exist EASes to allow dry land being to live in underwater cities.
- Grid climber engine
Spacecraft engine. Human invention, based on Tsaära:en knowledge. Relies on a network of fixed reference points in space, and attracts and repels those to move. A reference grid with sufficient resolution thus allows for highly agile and stable spacecraft.
- Inverse gravity field
Spacecraft protection system. Tsaära:en invention. As the name suggests, this is just an inverted gravity field around the ship; instead of attracting objects, it repels them. With sufficient strength, this makes ships practically invulnerable to non-homing material projectiles; anything heading toward the ship will have to "struggle uphill" to reach the hull, and even a missile with sufficiently powerful propulsion that is not aimed at the exact centre - which is practically inevitable - would "lose its balance" and slide around it.
- Lightning cannon
Spacecraft weapon. Tsaära:en invention. This is an energy weapon that locks onto a target and then discharges harmful amounts of energy onto it, with a flexible ray not unlike a (highly specific) discharge of electricity. Once locked on, it guarantees a direct hit.
